Suspect Starlett Custer, 19, was charged with aggravated assault of victim Ashley Ramsay, MTSU Police Officer Vergena Forbes stated in an arrest report.

She bound her case to the grand jury without a hearing Tuesday in General Sessions Court. Grand jurors were expected to hear the case in January.

Custer was accused of cutting in front of Ramsay in the Bell Street parking lot, the officer reported. When Ramsay confronted Custer, she noticed Custer had something in her hand.

"Custer then struck Ms. Ramsay twice in the face, once in the arm and on the finger with an object believed to be a blade," Forbes reported.

Ramsay sustaned cuts to her face, arm and hand. She was treated at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
