MTSU Position Statement Regarding Dr. Pam Holder from Tom Tozer, director of News and Public Affairs: Officials at Middle Tennessee State University have followed, with great concern, the situation with Dr. Pamela Holder since she was initially charged.
Discussions regarding the options available to the University related to her continued employment began immediately following her conviction.
While the university felt it important to take swift action, it was decided that the institution should wait until the legal process had run its course before taking any action related to revoking tenure or terminating employment. Upon receiving confirmation of Dr. Holder’s sentencing on Monday, the University immediately began taking formal action to address her employment status with MTSU.
While institutional policy discourages public discussion of these proceedings at this stage, the MTSU administration has indicated that it will move expeditiously to complete the process as outlined. The university will have no further comment on this matter until the process related to Dr. Holder’s employment has concluded.
