MTSU cancels night classes

MTSU officials announced the university will close today at 3:30 p.m., one hour early, and again will delay the opening of university offices for at least two hours on Tuesday, Jan. 11, because of the winter weather conditions.

MTSU plans to open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, allowing additional time for employees to get to work. However, if conditions worsen overnight, the university may take additional measures early Tuesday morning.

MTSU officials urge employees or anyone coming to campus to conduct business to “exercise your best judgment and discretion in your commute.”

Spring semester classes are scheduled to begin Thursday, Jan. 13.
