| Two Rutherford County families have been selected as the recipients of Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity homes sponsored by Middle Tennessee Medical Center and Turner Universal.
Angela Fronabarger and her two children, Kate Lynn and Cody, and Tameka Nelson and her six children, Ricco, 15, Marcus, 14, Mekia, 11, Mario, 9, Monta, 7 and Ron, 3 will be the owners of two homes.
“I have been blessed with a lot of miracles in my life, but I just was not sure owning a home would be one of them,” said Fronabarger. “MTMC and Turner Construction will never know how much it means to us to have people genuinely care about our well being.”

Fronabarger came to Middle Tennessee in 2005 and currently lives in Smyrna. Nelson was born in Murfreesboro and says she is proud to raise her children in this community.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 6 at 406 and 410 S. University St.
“For MTMC this is ‘a time to build up’ as we progress with the construction of our new hospital,” said MTMC President and CEO Gordon B. Ferguson. “This is also a time to ‘build up’ our community. Habitat for Humanity is an ideal organization to partner with in carrying out our mission.”
The construction process for the two homes will last through May 1, when the families will receive their new house keys.

During the week of March 9, several students from Northern Illinois University will spend their spring break working on the construction of the homes. MTMC associates are also collecting donations of cleaning and laundry supplies and kitchen and bathroom items. Sodexo will be providing food on the jobsite throughout the construction process. Other companies also contributing their services include: Alexander Metals, Inc., Everything Electric, LLC, Girtman & Associates, Nashville Machine Company, Oakley Construction, South Eastern Turf, LLC, Southern Creations Landscaping, Steve Ward & Associates, Stewart’s Portable Toilets and The Wakefield Corporation.
