Saint Thomas Heart at Middle Tennessee Medical Center will offer free heart screenings on Friday.
The non-invasive, comprehensive screenings require less than 45 minutes to complete and are available by advance appointment only.
The number of appointments is limited.
Screening participants should fast six to eight hours prior to their evaluation to ensure accurate results.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 615-269-4545.
Each screening will include a blood pressure reading, cholesterol testing, glucose level testing, BMI (body mass index) calculation, stroke risk assessment, Berlin sleep apnea questionnaire, Edinburg Claudication questionnaire for peripheral vascular disease, metabolic syndrome screening, abdominal aortic aneurysm evaluation and Framingham risk score.
A board certified Saint Thomas Heart nurse practitioner will hold a private consultation to review test results and make health recommendations.
