From its beginning in 1927 as Rutherford Hospital, to opening the doors of a brand-new facility in 2010, Middle Tennessee Medical Center has significantly impacted the community and touched many lives throughout the decades.
The new, 120-page, full color coffee table book, A Time To Build Up: The History of Middle Tennessee Medical Center 1927-2010, shares the rich history of MTMC and includes more than 200 photos, some from private collections and never before seen. MTMC invites the community to the launch and signing party of the history book on Thursday, Jan. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Write Impression, located at 120 South Maple Street.
A Time To Build Up researcher and writer, Patsy B. Weiler, and executive editor, Susan S. Grear, will be available for meet-and-greet and book signing.
The history book is available for purchase at The Write Impression and at the MTMC Gift Shop.
All proceeds benefit the MTMC Foundation. For more information, visit www.mtmc.org/historybook. |
