Middle Tennessee Medical Center is holding a ceremony for parents who have experienced an infant death or miscarriage on Tuesday, Dec.15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the MTMC Bell Street Cancer Center, 503 East Bell St.
“Grieving parents have been given the opportunity to connect with one another, and to find others who understand the intense emotions felt on the anniversary of the due date, the birth date, holidays, and in subsequent pregnancies,” says Jackie Clevenger, MTMC chaplain.
“Remembering Our Babies” is a ceremony offered through an MTMC ministry support group. An informal gathering will be followed by a ritual of remembering. All parents should bring a ribbon to tie on an evergreen wreath in memory of their child.
