Middle Tennessee Medical Center has named Elizabeth Lemons as the new Chief Operations Officer. Lemons came to MTMC in May 2010 and has served as the vice president of clinical operations.
In her new role, Lemons will provide executive leadership for overall hospital operations, participate in development of strategic plans and is responsible for establishment and accomplishment of operational objectives.
“With Elizabeth’s years of experience, she brings a lot of knowledge to her new role at MTMC,” says Gordon Ferguson, President and CEO of MTMC. “Elizabeth offers an indispensable quality of leading by example and is undoubtedly a great asset to our ministry and community at large.”
Lemons has been a healthcare leader for more than 15 years and a nurse for 27 years. A majority of Lemon's clinical experience was dedicated to OR nursing and Peri-operative Services leadership.
She was a director and assistant vice president of Patient Care Services, later becoming the chief quality officer at Baptist Hospital and the associate chief quality officer for Saint Thomas Health Services (STHS) prior to becoming the vice president of clinical effectiveness for STHS.
She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Belmont University and a Master's Business Administration from Trevecca University. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and completed a Lean Healthcare certificate program.
Lemons is active in her local church, serving on various committees and serves on the Board of Alive Hospice. She and her husband Jerry have two children.

I guess I missed her pay or would it be too embarrassing knowing the outragous price for service there. Healthcare is the biggest ripoff ever. Vastly overpaid!
