MTMC Foundation announces new board members

Middle Tennessee Medical Center announced the appointment of the Rev. Colin Ambrose, Ken Halliburton, Paula Mansfield and Mark Polk to the MTMC Foundation Board.

The foundation’s primary work is to promote community awareness of the quality and value of medical services provided by MTMC and to raise and manage philanthropic gifts to further the hospital’s healing ministry to care for the poor and vulnerable.

“It is with great excitement that we welcome our new board members,” said Anne Davis, MTMC Foundation director. “These four outstanding members of our community and foundation donors represent the best of Rutherford County. They bring years of experience from the areas of faith, insurance, banking and law, respectively, to share with our board, as we work to support the hospital’s healing mission.”

Ambrose has served as the associate rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro since 2009. Prior to entering the ministry Ambrose worked as an investment banker in New York, N.Y., and was a business owner in Raleigh, N.C.

Halliburton is the current principle manager of Miller Loughry Beach Insurance Agency where he has worked since 1987. Halliburton is a past president and current member of the Stones River Kiwanis Club, a past treasurer and current member of the Homebuilders of Rutherford County, member of the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission for the City of Murfreesboro and – treasurer of the State of Tennessee Episcopal Men’s Laymen Conference

Mansfield has worked for First Tennessee Bank since 1994 and is currently a senior vice president community bank relationship manager. She was the president of RutherfordCABLE from 2011-2012 and Gov. Bill Haslam appointed her to the Regional Transportation Authority for 2012-2017.

Polk has lived in Murfreesboro since 1988 when his father, Dr. T. Allen Polk, and mother, Janet Polk moved to Murfreesboro for Dr. Polk to practice medicine. He is an attorney in Murfreesboro. He is a member of the Blue Raider Athletic Association, Cason Lane Church of Christ and Andrew Jackson American Inn of Court.
