Fresh off winning the 2010 Sun Belt Tournament and advancing to the NCAA Tournament, Middle Tennessee head soccer coach Aston Rhoden has announced his program's 10-game spring schedule, which features six matches at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
"This is a schedule that will allow our fans to see us at home for most of the spring, and against some solid competition," Rhoden said. "The goal of the spring is to correct anything from the previous fall and tighten up those areas before we begin practice again in August. Each of these games will allow us to do that."
The 10 games will be played over the course of five Saturdays and one Sunday and the Blue Raiders will play multiple contests in the same day four times.
The slate begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19 when Middle Tennessee plays host to Belmont. Later that day, the Blue Raiders return to action at 4 p.m. to welcome Tennessee Tech to town.
The following week, March 26, another two-game set is on the docket with Middle Tennessee playing host to UT-Martin at 10 a.m. and Vanderbilt at 4 p.m.
The Blue Raiders will then travel to Bowling Green, Ky., April 2 to square off against Southern Indiana at 10:30 a.m. and then Morehead State at 4:30 p.m.
The final weekend featuring two matches on the same day will be April 9, as Middle Tennessee faces Lee University and Tennessee at 1:30 and 5:30 p.m., respectively, in Knoxville, Tenn.
The regular schedule of games will conclude on the next Saturday, April 16, when the Blue Raiders return home to play host to Belmont at 4 p.m.
Middle Tennessee will close the spring by facing its alumni at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17 in the annual battle.
