The Middle Tennessee Athletic Ticket Office announced today that it will not be mailing out any New Orleans Bowl tickets due to the short turnaround and the holiday mail season.

There are a number of ways for fans to pick up tickets for the game.

Fans that purchase tickets can get them at the main ticket office on campus anytime between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM from now through December 16 (Wednesday).

There will also be opportunities at upcoming basketball games against Tennessee at the Sommet Center on Friday, Dec. 11 and a home game at the Murphy Center against SIU-Edwardsville on Dec. 13. For the Sommet Center, fans can get tickets at the Middle Tennessee Will Call.

After the 16th of December, anyone needing to pick up tickets can do so in New Orleans. A site and time for pickup will be announced at a later date.

If you have any questions, please call the ticket office at 1-888-YES-MTSU.

Wonder how big schools handle this situation. The ticker office at MT needs upgrading.

Yes it does. Have you ever seen the ticketmaster surcharge on these venues? And the fact there is very little parking on campus doesn't help matters either.

There is nothing wrong with the Ticket Office, it is the postal service that is the problem, they do not have a lot of time to trust Mother USPS to deliver them in time. The 'big' schools as you call them play later and handle it just the same way as time gets closer.

Forgot to mention that the 'big' schools do not have the problem MTSU has with SUPPORTERS, the 'big' schools are sold out before the tickets have been printed.

The disgraceful attendance for the game honoring the Veterans this year should make the entire country hang their heads in shame, even if they feel their team is not worth showing up for - one would think that in a time of war or even peace - this town and county would at lease show up to honor those who have fought for the lives of those who find it too much trouble to support the Blue Raiders. If it had been a UT game they would have driven 4 hours one way to attend and some of them probably cannot even spell UT much less ever attended the school.

The "Big Schools' have students camping out all night long waiting for the campus ticket office to open! Been there... done that. We will probably have 100 students at the game and 80% of those are only going because it is in New Orleans. If it were in Boise, there would be NO students.
MTSU enrolls over 25,000 students, what a shame :(

lay off the postal service just abit. I am an employee and every ticket I have delivered in my 10 years of delivering the mail has always been standard mail or junk mail as some people call it. you would think that the tickets would come with at least first class postage on them as much as some cost. Its not always the postal services fault.

Mail service is not reliable. Thus the need to pick up tickets.

No need to upgrade the ticket office, sadly this town can't support the team.

If you haven't been to a game, shame on you. Pretty cheap entertainment. Jeez when MTSU played Vandy a few years ago and beat them; that was a sold out game at their facility.

Shame, Murfreesboro can't get behind this team and pack the stadium on any weekend.

The mail service problem is ON CAMPUS, not a problem once it gets to the USPS site. I have heard of mail sitting there a week before someone from Campus takes action.
