MPD requests help from public

The Murfreesboro Police Department announced Wednesday it is requesting assistance from the public in solving an armed robbery case.  

The robbery took place at One Stop Market located at 2415 Halls Hill Pike in Murfreesboro.  It occurred Sept. 23 at approximately 7:35 p.m.

“The case is still under investigation, but we have not been able to identify the two suspects,” Maj. Clyde Adkison said in a press release.

The Police Department was initially unable to get video that night but it has now been obtained. Detective Abe Vongphakdy is the lead investigator in charge of the case. For citizens having information, they may contact him at 615-893-2717.

Rutherford County Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrests of the two suspects. Crime Stoppers operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and may be contacted at 893-STOP (7867).
