MPD makes arrest in Knotts murder

Murfreesboro Police arrested Friday afternoon a man, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of a 17-year-old man.

MPD Detective Mike Taylor, obtained an arrest warrant Friday on Nicholas Wade, 29, of Hornecastle Street, for the July 22 homicide of Kevin Knotts.

Knotts was found dead in a car at the Express Carwash on South Rutherford Boulevard.

At 11:30 a.m. Friday, the arrest warrant was served without incident at the

Saddlebrook Apartments by the Murfreesboro Police Department with the assistance of the US Marshals Service and the MPD Gang Unit.
