MPD major graduates FBI National Academy Program | MPD, Clyde Adkison

Murfreesboro Police Department Maj. Clyde Adkison graduated from the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, Va. in September.

The program, which was established by the FBI in 1935, is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced investigative, management, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.  

Adkison’s class was the 242nd session of the academy and was comprised of 272 police officers from 49 states, 26 international countries, five military organizations, four civilian organizations and the District of Columbia.  

Adkison has served the Murfreesboro Police Department for 32 years and has worked in Communications, Patrol, Traffic and Administrative Services where he is currently the Division Commander.

Previous MPD graduates of the FBI National Academy include: Chief Glenn Chrisman, Assistant Chief Roy Fields, Maj. Hiram Lester, Maj. Jim Gage, Capt. Anita Flagg, Sgt. Amy Dean and Officer Raymond Daniel.    

The Murfreesboro Police Department congratulates Adkison on this achievement.
