Clearly a case of attempted suicide.
Let the Fire Department investigate this one.

Another black eye for campus crossing south...they have had more issues than I can remember.

Another black eye for Campus Crossing South? They needn't worry much. Soon the MPD spokesperson Officer Evans [where was he when all the weird stuff happened over at Nottingham?] will announce that this is yet another unexplainable event that is best handled by the Murfreesboro Fire Department.
Then we can hear things like we heard after the Justin Wong "suicide":
"He talked about how cruel the world was," Swader said. "He never mentioned how he planned to take his life."
“This is a tragic, tragic thing,” Swader said.

We will be continuing to follow this story as we have a daughter residing @ CCS--They really need to buckle down on security over there or they are going to receive more terrible reviews at the end of this semester. Why should the students have to endure this type of behavior? I was told that police officers actually reside there to try and keep the peace, but it seems that there are ALWAYS out of control parties going on late into the night that are allowed to escalate until some types of physical/verbal altercation takes place. I was also told that the shooter wasn't a resident, so that would mean that whomever is associating with this type of "thug" needs to be evicted. Seems like a very simple solution to me.
There is a criminal running around out there free and clear? Are you kidding me? There were MANY students outside who saw who this person was---why can't they find him? I guarantee you we will continue to follow this story and will be DEMANDING results.

I live in building 300 at CCS and I can say that out of all the cops we have living here, the way they handle any kind of crime is pathetic. Funny that they are raising rent 100 dollars next year, good luck with that. I can see about 4 police cars from my window and they don't do shit.

Before we jump to conclusions Carol, this could be a legitimate case of self defense. There has not been any news of arrests (even though the police have interviewed the shooter). They have found the shooter and kept him in custody interviewing him for a long time. They let him go. Do you want to be the person calling this man a "thug" if he shot someone to save his own life?

And I don't know what the outcome of the interviews was. I just choose not to jump to conclusions especially since the police did not arrest the shooter. We don't know the details so there is no need for Carol to be calling this guy a "thug" and a "criminal" before we know more information.

Pulling out a gun in a parking lot with numerous people around and shooting is "thuggish behavior--period---This person should have called the cops and let them handle it---there are too many innocent people in the apartment building and in cars to take out a gun and begin firing it---RIDICULOUS!!!! Yes--THUG!!
