|The Pocket Gallery at Moxie Art Supply has announced its inaugural exhibition ¡Viva Las Luchadores! will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Moxie Art Supply, located at 316 N. Maple St. in downtown Murfreesboro.
A lively opening reception is show features new paintings by Murfreesboro artist Art Growden, who showcases a variety of “locators,” or Mexican wrestlers. The vivid paintings celebrate the bombastic nature of the sport as well as the culture from which lucha libre wrestling originates.
Growden is an award-winning graphic designer who earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from MTSU. His studio, Art Growden Creative, has local clients that include the City of Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, MTSU, the Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses. One of his more visible projects is on the Murfreesboro Rover buses. Graphic design is Art Growden’s day job. By night he breaks out the paint brushes!

If you’re looking for work, The Goodwill Career Solutions center in Antioch will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday for Ambassador Personnel.
The temp agency is looking to fill dozens of positions for companies in Davidson and Rutherford Counties. Openings include full-time material handlers and part-time package labelers. Ambassador Personnel is also accepting applications for pickers and packers, forklift operators and machine operators.
A representative from Ambassador Personnel will be on site and interviews are possible, so dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring resumes, photo ID, Social Security card or birth certificate with them to the event, held at 3538 Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch.
