Hungry residents will have a new dining option come July – Sandwich Factory will open its doors near Cracker Barrel on Chaffin Place.
The building sat vacant for a couple of years, after having been a Subway and later, a check cashing business. Come July 7, it will be a New York deli-style sandwich shop, according to manager Roj Asio.
She said the restaurant will offer deli sandwiches, toasted subs, hot dogs and, eventually, pizza.
“There have always been Quiznos and Subways, but we’ve never really had anything like corned beef (sandwiches) or anything like that,” Asio said. “We wanted the community to try something healthier, and at the same time, different.”
