Milton L. Bridges, 79, of Smyrna, passed away October 4, 2012 at Alive Hospice Resident. Mr. Bridges was born in Gordo, AL to the late William Cole and Bessie Mae Bridges. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the United States Army.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fred Bridges and infant that died at birth; sisters, Lucille Strickland, and Bertha Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Bridges; sons, Danny Bridges of Murfreesboro; Ron (Emily) Bridges of Lebanon; daughters, Becky (Mike) McHugh of Clarksville; Gina (Dan) Chadwick of Smyrna; brother, Raiford Bridges of Tuscaloosa, AL; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 12:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Don Herron officiating. Entombment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
