Metal thieves caught on tape | MPD, Crime
Murfreesboro Police are on the lookout for four men suspected of stealing $1,200 worth of metal from a local business.

Four suspects were caught on a surveillance camera walking around Erwin Cole Enterprises around 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 at the Haley Avenue location.

The suspects, four white males, in a white utility truck stole nearly 75 steel support beans before fleeing the scene.

“The suspects were captured on video surveillance during the entire period of the theft,” MPD Officer Tommy Massey reported.

Anyone with information should call the MPD Criminal Investigation Division at 893-2717 or Crimestoppers at 893-STOP.

Okay, if four (4) suspects were caught on surveillance tape then why are the police only looking for three (3) of them? Has one already been apprehended? If so, there is no mention of it in the story. Thanks!

Sloppy writing.

Noticed the story has been changed to read '...on the lookout for four men suspected of stealing...' Why, Murfreesboro Post, do you never add a tag that says 'UPDATE' or 'CORRECTED'? You just correct the story and act as if nothing ever happened. Sad!
