Meryl Virginia Couch, 71, of Smyrna, died Sunday, June 30, 2013.

A native of Irondale, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Mary Van Dyke Coil, and she was of the Baptist faith.

She is also preceded in death by brothers Bob Coil, Gordon Coil, Junior Coil, and Arvin Coil.

Couch is survived by her daughter Teresa (Terri) and her husband, Patrick Boone, of Smyrna; sons Everette Ray (Steve) Randolph, of Oklahoma, Ronald Dean (Ronnie) and his wife, Nancy Randolph, of Murfreesboro, Willard Jr. and his wife, Joy Randolph, of Lyles, Tenn., William Doyle (Billy) Randolph, of Arkansas, and John (Johnnie) and his wife, Tina Randolph, of Murfreesboro; as well as 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Alvin Coil; her sisters, Jean Rowley, Jane Whyte, Barbara Board, Edna-Sue (Susie) Neiser and Patricia Coil, all of Ohio.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with brother John Herdman officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery, with family serving as pallbearers.
