Wow! Jeff Beck, Sonny Landreth, Hubert Sumlin, Warren Haynes, and Jimmy Herring. These names mean that Memphis In May may be this year's guitar festival. It's rare to see names like Beck and Sumlin playing at summer music festivals in the first place, let alone at the same one.
Boasting veteran festival acts like Band of Horses, Flaming Lips, Gov't Mule, and Widespread Panic, Memphis In May will be a must stop this summer.
Despite the strange choice of cheesy modern rock acts like Chevelle, Puddle of Mud, Seether, and 3 Doors Down, and chart successful nineties acts like Goo Goo Dolls, Limp Bizkit, and Alice In Chains, this festival keeps it's roots with tried and true artists like Jerry Lee Lewis and Bobbie Blue Bland.
Between Bonnaroo and Memphis In May, Tennessee has two of the best festivals in the country this summer.
