Melissa Owen, 48, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, February 5, 2009
at Middle TN Medical Center.
Melissa was a member of Wards Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jared and sister, Debra Jo Jared. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Owen; sons, Michael Owen, Jay Sanders and Jared Owen, all of Murfreesboro; mother, Betty Jared of Brush Creek; brother, Michael Jared of Cookeville
and her sister, Marsha Rogers of Pulaski; three grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at
the Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday 11:00 am at
Buffalo Valley Presbyterian Church with Bro. Morgan Wallace and Dr. Wesley
Henry officiating. Burial to follow in the Jared Family Cemetery.
