Melinda Gail Cox, age 49, of Murfreesboro, passed away on February 8, 2012 at her home. She was a native of Paragould, Arkansas but lived in Rutherford County for the past 10 years. Melinda was a member of the Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Glenn Potter and Doris Dolene Oden Potter; and sister, Deanna Evans. She is survived by her son, Shawn Welker of Murfreesboro; brothers, Richard Potter of Arkansas, Russell Potter of Murfreesboro; and sisters, Neva Potter of Murfreesboro and Roberta Potter of Arkansas; and fiance, Gem Dodd of Murfreesboro.
A chapel service will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Dr. Lenny Farmer officiating.
