| The Murfreesboro City Schools have hired new assistant principals at Erma Siegel Elementary School and Mitchell-Neilson Elementary School.
“MCS looks forward to the contributions these two outstanding teachers will bring to our students in their new administrative roles,” MCS Director Linda Gilbert said in a press release.
Kevin Templeton is the new assistant principal at Erma Siegel. He replaces Mary Rose Stracener.
Prior to being named the new assistant principal, Templeton taught at the school in the fifth and sixth grades.
The city schools have also named Sharon Davis-Louis as the assistant principal at Mitchell Neilson Elementary School.
She taught in Mississippi and Tennessee, including Rutherford County Schools, before joining Murfreesboro City Schools in 2005 as a Technology Applications teacher.
Both new assistant principals participated in MCS’s Leadership Academy and were named their school’s Teacher of the Year.
