MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The McFadden Community Center will be closed until mid-May while it undergoes major renovations, officials with the city of Murfreesboro announced Monday.
All Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department programs and activities have been located to other venues, officials said in a press release.
The Rutherford County Emergency Food Bank at the center, which is located at 211 Bridge Ave., will be closed from Wednesday, Jan. 15, through Wednesday, Feb. 5. A temporary location for the food bank has not yet been determined, but officials are looking for a site.
Families needing assistance during this time may call or visit Greenhouse Ministries, located at 309 S. Spring St.
The Community Development office will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, until Friday, Jan. 31, as well.
Updates on the closure and programming for the McFadden Community Center will be provided through various formats, including www.murfreesborotn.gov/parks.
