Mary Lou Humphreys, 87, formerly of Albany, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Murfreesboro, TN.
Her funeral service will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Eddie Garcia, minister will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Monday beginning at 10 AM until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Humphreys was born in Lucile, GA in Early County on the family farm south of Blakely. She graduated high school in Miller County. She and her husband lived in many locations throughout Georgia with his construction business, but they always thought of Albany as their home base. Mrs. Humphreys was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brantley Lewis Humphreys, Jr., her parents, John Henry and Mary Annie Lou DuBose, her siblings, Ida Myrtle Seagroves, Niza Lee McKinnon, Clarence Marcene DuBose, John Blackshear DuBose, and Albert Bluford DuBose.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Glenda and Frank Victory, Murfreesboro, TN, Anne and Paul Pope, Suwanee, GA; son and daughter-in-law: David Lewis and Melanie Humphreys, Columbus, GA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
