MARY ELIZABETH KING GAMBILL, age 87, of Smyrna died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010.
She was a native of Hermitage, Tenn. and the daughter of the late James and Hattie King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Gambill, and brothers, James, Harold, and Robert King.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Ralph “Buddy” Neal will officiate. Burial will be in the Gambill Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Gambill, Ben Gambill, Harold Gambill, Dave Gambill, and Thomas “Buck” Gambill, all of Smyrna, sisters, Rosa Horton of Antioch, and Katherine Good of Kansas, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Gambill, Jr, Kevin Gambill, Thomas Gambill, Jr, Alan Gambill, Joe Adams, Ray Cox, and Randall Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Lee, Bobby Batey, Danny Fraley, David Pruitt, and Joe Pomeroy.
