Mary E. “Tiny” Powers, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at her home in Auburntown.
Birthplace: Cannon Co., Tn.
Survivors: Husband of 31 years: Teddy Powers of Auburntown
Children: Ruth Ann (Jeff) Weir of Henderson, TN., J.T. (Gina) Powers of Lexington, TN. and Steven Powers of Auburntown
Special Nephew: Tim Baines of Auburntown
Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Roxie Dunn Hughes; Siblings, Clara Davenport, Altie Dewey Hughes, Wilma Baines and Melvin “Boots” Hughes.
Mary was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and she loved to quilt.
Funeral Service: Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home When: 4:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 7
Minister: Bro. Bobby Nichols & Bro. David Dunn Interment: Odom Cemetery
Visitation: 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012
