Margie Ree Robbins, 72, of Murfreesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a member of the Church of Christ. Margie was a restaurant owner and operator in Nashville. She was a dancer with Ralph Sloan and the Tennessee Travelers, and she was a former basketball player at Walter Hill.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Harris Duke and Jessie Potts Duke; sons, Ricky Campbell and Timothy Campbell.
She is survived by her sons, Randall W. (Karen) Campbell and James Terry (Alesia) Campbell, all of Murfreesboro; brother, Jerry Potts, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Cody Campbell, Tyler Campbell, Lori (Harry) Lehmann and Allison (Shane) Goforth; great-grandchildren, Tucker Goforth, Tripp Goforth, Haden Lehmann and Hunter Lehmann; and caregiver and friend, Rick Herrington.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at National HealthCare.
A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Jennings and Ayers Chapel, with Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, located at 820 South Church St. in Murfreesboro.
