Attempted murder charges were filed Thursday against a witness to a murder last week on Norman Drive, a Murfreesboro Police detective reported Monday.

Suspect Beau D. Estes, 24, of Norman Avenue was charged with attempted murder of David Flinn III, 38, of 420 Lilly Lane who was bound, beaten and robbed of $1,055 May 8 at his home, police reported.

Detective Garry Templeton also charged Estes with especially aggravated burglary, especially aggravated robbery, two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, theft and aggravated assault.

Police spokesman Kyle Evans said “these charges are in relation to the Lilly Lane home invasion May 8.”

Estes witnessed the fatal shooting of Anthony Montry “Monster” Davis, 33, of Mercury Blvd. last Tuesday inside his home.

Officer Robert McAdams reported three suspects entered Estes' home, pushed him aside and said, “This has nothing to do with you” before shooting Davis multiple times.

Estes was charges as one of four suspects who allegedly robbed Flinn May 8 at his Lilly Lane home.

Officer Cody Ciazza reported he and Officer Brandon Benge found Flinn lying in the doorway of his home. Flinn told police four men assaulted and robbed him. They bound him with tape.

“The suspects then began to demand money and made threats to kill the victim with a rifle and bat that were on scene,” Ciazza reported. “The victim stated he gave the suspects $1,055 from his wallet.”

They struck him repeatedly with a bat, causing him to suffer major injuries to the face and head, the officer reported.

Benge reported the suspects hit Flinn’s roommate Stanley Wise with a gun and bound him. He was placed in the back room and left alone until freeing himself.

Templeton booked Estes into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where bond was set at $73,000. A hearing is set June 29 in General Sessions Court. Estes is unemployed.

Ya'll need to learn how to read. It does jump around, but it is clearly recounting two separate incidents at two different times.
