A Murfreesboro man was surprised Wednesday morning when someone tried to steal his truck from his driveway.

Blake Becker, of North Maple Street, started his 2003 Chevy Silverado around 6:45 Wednesday morning to warm it up and went back inside his home.

About 5 minutes later he heard the sound of tires on the his driveway and looked outside to see a man driving his truck out of the driveway.

Becker then darted out his kitchen door, ran after the truck, jumped into the truck’s bed and began banging on the window to get the suspect to stop.

The suspect pulled out of Becker’s driveway and into his neighbor’s drive.

“The suspect drove the vehicle behind the residence in an effort to escape, but the residence did not provide an outlet to the roadway,” Murfreesboro Police Officer Finess Brown reported.

When the suspect realized he was trapped, he stopped and attempted to get out of the truck. As he was exited the vehicle, he flashed a handgun at Becker, who did not pursue the suspect as he fled the scene.

In Obamas world you must defend yourself from these undesirables. The streets are pampant with crime and we have police passing out useless tickets. Carry a gun at all times. Defend yourself and your property.
