An 18-year-old man stabbed under his left arm Saturday was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Murfreesboro Police reported.
Jamarcus Sneed of East Main Street suffered the stab wounds on Castleview Street, Officer Sam Day reported. Sneed accused a man in his 20s of assaulting him. The man wore jeans and a lime green shirt.
Sneed was treated at Middle Tennessee Medical Center before being transferred to Vanderbilt.

An aggravated assault charge was placed against a suspect accused of hitting another man with a beer bottle early Friday at the Blue Rooster, Officer Marja Atchley reported.
Michael Knight Keomuongtai, 24, of Smyrna was charged with aggravated assault of victim Billy Joe Brown, 29, of Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro.
A woman accused Brown of fondling her but he denied the accusations, the officer reported. Keomuongtai accused Brown of fondling the girl and allegedly took a beer bottle and struck Brown in the head.
Brown suffered a severe cut to the left side of his head. He was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
Keomuongtai was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where a hearing was set Oct. 8 in General Sessions Court.
Three men flagged down Officer Tim Jensen about 1 a.m. Monday to report they were just robbed at gunpoint outside Hastings on Memorial Boulevard.
They were seated in a vehicle when four males approached and asked for a lighter.
“The victims then stated two of the suspects pulled handguns on them, made them give up their cell phones, made them open their wallets and remove the cash only and then made them lay face down while the suspects entered the victims’ car and began to go through all the victims’ belongings,” Jensen reported.
One man wore a black bandana over his face. Three were tall and one was stocky.
The handguns appeared to be semi-automatics, one black and one silver.
Another victim was robbed outside Knights Inn about 12:30 a.m. Friday on South Church Street, Officer Anthony Skok reported.
Victim David R. Brown Jr., 47, of Brandywood Drive was approached by a man who asked him for a lighter.
“The white male then struck him with a brown beer bottle in the face, causing severe lacerations to his forehead,” Skok reported. “Brown stated that he was temporarily unconscious for a moment and that the subject stole his cash out of his front right pocket.”
His mother drove him to MTMC. Detectives are investigating.
