Police are looking for the suspect who allegedly shot a man multiple times Thursday night inside of a townhouse on Wenlon Drive in Murfreesboro.

“One person was shot multiple times inside the residence,” said Cpt. Nathan McDaniel of the Murfreesboro Police Department.

The shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wenlon Drive, located near Ashwood Cove Apartments.

The man is currently being treated at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. However, his condition remains unknown at this time.

Detectives believe the suspect fled the scene in a white, four-door vehicle, McDaniel said.

“The suspect is on the loose,” he said.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male who appeared to be about 6 feet tall, and he was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident.

McDaniel said further information about the shooting would not be released until Friday.
