| CHRISTIANA - Rutherford County Sheriff's Detectives have requested an autopsy be performed on a 58-year-old man whose body was discovered by a neighbor this morning in a dry creek bed off Panther Creek Road, Sheriff Robert F. Arnold said.
All unattended deaths are thoroughly investigated, Investigative Services Division Commander Preble Acton said.
“We have no reason to suspect foul play at this time,” Acton said, adding his name isn’t being released yet. “His next of kin have not all yet been identified at this point.”
The man was found in a dry creek bed that runs between his property at 7444 Panther Creek Road and that of the neighbor who discovered the body and called RCSO Communications about 9 a.m. today.
The deceased had not been seen or heard from in at least a couple days, Acton said. |
