One man died after being shot multiple times by three disguised suspects in a home invasion about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday on Norman Avenue off South Rutherford Boulevard, Murfreesboro Police said.
Anthony Montay “Monster” Davis, 32, was killed during the shooting at 2223 Norman Ave., Maj. Clyde Adkison reported.
“According to the witnesses, three unknown suspects entered the residence and confronted the victim, Adkison reported. “He was shot multiple times with two different weapons. The suspects were all dressed in black wearing black bandannas, gloves, and goggles.”
The suspects left in an unknown vehicle.
Police learned about the homicide when they received a call of suspicious people walking near Wal-Mart on South Rutherford Boulevard. Patrol offices located two witnesses.
“We are in preliminary stages of the investigation and would ask anyone who knows any additional information to call either the Criminal Investigation Division at 893-2717 or Crime Stoppers of Rutherford County at 893-STOP (7867),” Adkison reported.
