A Murfreesboro man was arrested on federal child pornography charges Oct. 14, the U.S. Attorney’s office reported Wednesday.

Glenn M. Little Sr., 63, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was arrested on on
charges of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography, reported Edward M. Yarbrough, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee and Postal Inspector in Charge Martin D. Phanco, Atlanta Division.

Little appeared before United States Magistrate Judge John Bryant in Nashville Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and detention hearing and was ordered to remain in custody pending trial.

According to the affidavit of complaint, in mid September 2009, Little ordered and paid for eight videos of young children engaged in sexually explicit activity. Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at the home of Little on October 14, 2009.

Officers found at least one computer and 150 DVD’s that contained images and videos of child sexual abuse, much of it containing violent and brutal rapes of very young children. The affidavit further states that, while the search was being executed, Little told investigators that he had been collecting child pornography for 20 to 30 years and had been receiving it through the Internet during the past 10 years.

The investigation and arrest resulted from the collaborative work of the United States Postal Inspection Service, United States Secret Service, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of the Franklin Police Department.

“The United States Postal Inspection Service takes crimes against children very seriously,
particularly when it involves the use of the U.S. Mail. Postal Inspectors will continue to aggressively investigate these types of cases that endanger the most vulnerable sector of the American public," said Martin D. Phanco, Postal Inspector in Charge of the Atlanta Division.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee and the United
States Department of Justice consider the prosecution of cases involving the exploitation of children to be one of the highest priorities in law enforcement.

Charges brought against a person through a complaint or indictment are accusations only.
That person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

It should not hurt to be a child. Support The Exchange Club Family Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse - a growing disease in our community.

This beast needs to be fried!!! We have GOT to start doing more to protect our precious children! Crimes against children should be an automatic death penalty.

I'm in total agreement with BlueRaiderMom! This behavior is not "sick," an "illness," or a "disease." It is EVIL.
