On Wednesday night, May 19, police officers responded to a call at 350 Tremont Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance involving assault and possible kidnapping.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to Leigh Kilgore, who said that she was in apartment C93 when Glen Evans allegedly “barged” through the door. Evans had been told by Kilgore not to come over.

According to Kilgore, Evans yanked up his son, John Evans, who according to police reports is about 15-months-old. Evans then allegedly followed his wife, Lisa Evans, into the back bedroom.

Kilgore told officers that Lisa Evans had gone into the back to call the police. Kilgore said she then heard Evans assaulting his wife and she was asking him to stop. Kilgore then took her own children out to her car because she was concerned for their safety, and then called law enforcement.

Reportedly, the child at one point exited the apartment and fell down the stairs, followed by Lisa Evans who came out after him.

Evans allegedly followed her down the stairs and forced her into the driver’s side of a dark-colored, four-door vehicle. Kilgore told police he then entered the passenger-side with John in his lap and forced Lisa Evans to leave.

Police report that Kilgore told them she was concerned for the welfare of the child, who was turning colors and screaming as the couple left the scene. She also stated Lisa Evans was badly beaten.

Another witness, Margaret Warren, stated the couple has a history of violence and Lisa Evans has sought a protection order. One such incident occurred earlier this week, when Evans allegedly assaulted his wife on Memorial Boulevard.

The previous incident was reported Tuesday, May 18, and Lisa Evans informed officers she intended to seek a warrant in addition to seeking an order of protection. Evans may have additional warrants out for violating parole.

Further investigation is required before warrants can be sought, but Kilgore and Warren were advised to notify law enforcement if Lisa Evans contacted them.
