Nashville – Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville) will keynote the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club meeting at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Stones River Country Club.
Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and State Sens. Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro) and Jim Tracy (R-Shelbyville) will present outgoing Rotary President Phil Barnett with a Colonel Certificate.
Ramsey represents Tennessee Senate District 2, which encompasses Johnson and Sullivan counties in northeast Tennessee.
He was elected Speaker of the Senate and Lieutenant Governor in January 2007, the first Republican to hold the office in 140 years. Ramsey is a real estate broker, auctioneer and owner of Ron Ramsey and Associates, located in Blountville.
