Sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, a residential burglary took place at the home of Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Rhea. It appears the burglar(s) entered the back door of her Murfreesboro.
A large quantity of extremely expensive jewelry, coins, flatware and other items were stolen from the victim. The estimated value of the items stolen is in excess of $108,000. Color paper photographs (non-digital) of some of the unique jewelry are available upon request.
Since some of the jewelry is family heirlooms, Dr. Rhea is offering an additional $10,000 reward in addition to the reward offered by Rutherford County Crime Stoppers, Inc. This additional reward is only good for a time period of the next 30 days. The tipster must call Crime Stoppers to furnish us with the information and receive a confidential code number.
Rutherford County Crime Stoppers is offering these rewards for information leading to the arrests of the suspect(s). Crime Stoppers operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and may be contacted at 893-STOP (7867). |
