The Murfreesboro Branch of the NAACP and MTSU’s Department of Intercultural & Diversity Affairs will play host to the Tennessee State Conference of Branches’ 65th annual state convention Sept. 22-24.
The theme for this occasion is “Affirming America’s Promise.”
The Religious Affairs Program/Luncheon and Mass Meeting Program will be Thursday, Sept. 22 at First Baptist Church, 738 E. Castle St. in Murfreesboro.
The Labor & Industry Breakfast and Membership Luncheon will be Friday, Sept. 23 at MTSU’s Tom Jackson Building. At 7 p.m. Friday, the Youth’s Town Hall Meeting will be held at the same location.
The Women in the NAACP Breakfast will be held in the Tennessee Room of the James Union Building. The honorees will be Lillian Howse, Dora Rucker and Annie Zachery of Murfreesboro.
The Youth Leadership Luncheon will be held in the Tennessee Room at noon Saturday, Aug. 24.
The Freedom Fund Banquet will be Saturday, Sept. 24 in the Tennessee Room of the James Union Building. The keynote speaker will be the National President/CEO Benjamin Jealous from Baltimore, Md. |
