| Local musical favorites are slated to entertain at the annual Greenway Art Festival Saturday, hosted by Friends of the Greenway.
The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Fort Park on the Stones River Greenway.
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Josh Culley and David Coe This Nashville-based Irish duo has a repertoire of songs dating from the 16th century to the present.
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: The O’Donnells The O’Donnells are a father and son duo who bring a combination of musical influences together to create an honest and refreshing new sound. Audiences – young and old – are drawn to the passion and fire in their performance and the music they play, and the reason can be described in one word – ‘REAL.’
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Rik Gracia Timeless easy listening classics from the ‘50s to the ‘80s are his favorites, and he has a special passion for keeping the old tunes alive and sharing them with each and every generation, young and old.
Artists will be displaying and selling their works along the trail: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, silversmithing, sculpture, glass and more.
There will be musicians on the stage, and food vendors and activities for children will make this an artistic outing for the whole family. Free to attend; please remember most of the artists cannot take credit cards.
“It’s just a cool event. You’re on the banks of the historic Stones River, tucked in amongst the trees and accompanied by an array of talented artists. The Greenway Arts Festival is a unique experience and something I enjoy participating in each year,” Artisan Don Sharley said.
Old Fort Park is located at 1024 Golf Lane in Murfreesboro. |
