| The Murfreesboro Police Department Vice Unit made two felony drug arrests Monday, June 6 at the Kwik-Sak Market, located on 1121 Bradyville Pike.
Through extensive investigations, lead investigator Detective Shawn Jensen made purchases of ecstasy and cocaine from the storeowner, Elamir Nashad, 30, of Bradyville Pike, during business hours.
Upon execution of a search warrant at the store an amount of ecstasy and steroids were seized. Officers also seized about $9,000 in cash, a vehicle and other property.
After the search was conducted at the store, another search warrant was executed at the owner’s residence. Jensen and other members of the MPD Vice Unit arrested Nashad and store clerk Carlos Felisea Rosas, 25, of Crossway Avenue.
Both suspects were allegedly using the store as a “front” and were actually selling drugs to their “customers.”
Both individuals were charged with felony possession of schedule one drugs and simple possession of schedule four drugs.
Their General Sessions court date is Aug. 16.
Rosas is also being held as an illegal alien.
The MPD Vice Unit has made multiple arrests during the last five months resulting in the seizure of approximately $35,000 in cash, several vehicles, and other miscellaneous property. |
