'Little Mermaid' extends stay in Woodbury
THE MURFREESBORO POST
Because of the tremendous demand for tickets, the Arts Center of Cannon County has added three additional matinee performances to Disney’s "The Little Mermaid Jr." on Saturday, Feb. 16, and Feb. 23, as well as Sunday, Feb. 24. There is still some limited availability for the 7:30 p.m. performances on Friday, Feb. 15 and Feb. 16. The show, which opened Friday, takes the audience "under the sea" with Ariel (Rachel Nichols), a young mermaid who longs to leave her ocean home for the world above, in "The Little Mermaid Jr." But first, she will have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she is the girl with the enchanting voice. Ticket prices are $10 and may be purchased by calling the Arts Center box office at 615-563-2787 or 1-800-235-9073. A $3 discount for students is valid for all performances. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.artscenterofcc.com. "The Little Mermaid Jr." is sponsored by Wild About Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and is part of the 2013 Centerstage Series.
