Lindell D. Hockett, age 75, of Christiana, died Thursday November 26, 2009 at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was a native of Bedford Co, and son of the late Burrell and Mary Gibson Hockett.
Mr. Hockett is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Fox Hockett, son and daughter in law Robert (Bobby) and Kathy Hockett of Christiana, daughter Laketa Powers of Christiana, brother Doris Hockett of Murfreesboro, sisters; Berlene West of Bell Buckle and Nina Ruth Alford of Hoodoo, and grandchildren; Twana and B.J. Hockett, Trice and Lindsey Powers.
Mr. Hockett had served in the National Guard and was retired from Greer Stopnut of Smyrna. At his request, Mr. Hockett was cremated. Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 893-5151 www.woodfinchapel.com
