Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing before the City Council of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be held in the Council Chambers of the Murfreesboro City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, in said City on Thursday, September 27, 2012, beginning at 7:00 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of considering a proposed amendatory Ordinance 12-OZ-22 amending the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, constituting a part of said Zoning Ordinance, at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to said Ordinance.  The proposed amendatory Ordinance, if and when effective, will amend said Zoning Ordinance to rezone the territory indicated on the map below from Single-Family Residential Fifteen (RS-15) District to Highway Commercial (CH) District.

Sealed Proposals for Building Identification Signs, Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department, will be received by the Owner at the City Council Chamber, Murfreesboro City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 2:00 P.M., Central Daylight Savings Time. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.
Plans and other contract documents shall be obtained by Bidders from the office of Johnson + Bailey Architects P.C., 100 East Vine Street, Suite 700, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A deposit check for Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00), made payable to Johnson + Bailey Architects, will be required for two (2) sets of plans and specifications. Checks will be refunded to all Bidders who return plans and specifications in good condition within ten (10) days after Proposals are opened, with the exception of the deposit from the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed in the State of Tennessee and acceptable to Owner, will be required of successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of work under the contract (see Supplement to General Conditions of the Contract).
In the event Bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to execute a satisfactory contract and bond, heshall be eliminated and shall forfeit his bid bond, and shall be liable for any loss occasioned to the Owner because of such failure.

All City of Murfreesboro electrical licenses, gas licenses and journeyman registrations will expire on September 30. MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

A public meeting will be held at Patterson Park Community Center, 521 Mercury Boulevard, on Monday, September 10, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to allow citizens the opportunity to give input on the City of Murfreesboro’s Greenway, Blueway, and Bikeway Master Plan.  The plan will determine a com-prehensive, citywide approach to the growth and development of these corridors for the next 25 years.
