2012 MURFREESBORO CITY TAXES ARE DUE AND PAYABLE at

Payment can be made on or before December 31, 2012 without penalty and interest. Taxes paid or postmarked after December 31, 2012 will be subject to penalty and interest. Checks should be made payable to the City of Murfreesboro. If you have any questions concerning your tax notice or if you have not received your tax notice, please call the Tax Department at City Hall, 893-5210. We canalso assist with questions regarding the State of Tennessee’s Tax Relief Program. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may also check the status of your taxes on the web at www.murfreesborotn.gov/search.aspx.

Sealed bids for Police Professional Liability Insurance coverage will be received by the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the City Manager's office, City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37130. The insuring period will begin at 12:01 a.m. on March 31, 2013. The required Bid Form and Specifications are available from the City Manager's office and online at www.murfreesborotn.gov.

Murfreesboro Electric Department is currently soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) for a Utility Management Platform software package. Further information and details can be found at the MED website (www.medtn.com). The response for this CSP is due no later than 12pm CST Friday, January 25th at the MED offices located at 205 N. Walnut Street, Murfreesboro TN.

Bid forms may be picked up at the Office of Road Superintendent, any working day (Mon. – Thurs, 7:00 – 5:00) prior to bid opening date.
The Highway Commission reserves the right to accept any bid in their opinion to be the best or to reject any or all bids.

Effective January 1, 2013, the following are Rutherford County Highway Dept. procedures for the bidding and purchases of gasoline and diesel fuels for the Rutherford County Highway Dept.
All vendors wishing to submit bids for prices on an as needed basis should notify Rutherford Co. Highway Dept in writing by Thursday, January 3, 2013. Vendors who do not submit by the dead line will not be allowed on the list until next year being effective 01-01-2014. The following information will need to be provided: Company Name, contact person and their position, list anyone else that will be authorized to sign the bid for the company and their position, phone and fax number.
Procedures will be available to all vendors that want to bid on gasoline and diesel fuels. Those procedures will be available to be picked up at the Office of Road
Superintendent, 1510 Rutledge Way, Murfreesboro, TN. any working day (7:00 – 5:00, Mon. – Thurs.) prior to December 31st.
