SECTION 00020 INVITATION TO BIDDERS REPAIRS TO MURFREESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNEX BUILDING MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE Sealed Proposals for Repairs to Murfreesboro Police Department Annex Building, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be received by the Owner at the City Council Chamber, Murfreesboro City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 10:00 A.M., Central Standard Time. Public Notice The Rutherford County Emergency Communications District solicits sealed bids for the purchase of a full size truck intended for the towing of the District’s Mobile Communications Trailer. Bids will be received at the District Administrative Office, 591 Fortress Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Tennessee until 10:00 a.m. December 8, 2010, at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. NOTICE: Invitation to Bid (ITB) Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Murfreesboro for a Passenger Waiting Shelter at the City of Murfreesboro , Office of the City Manager, located on the first floor of City Hall, Post Office Box 1139, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37133-1139, any time prior to the hour of 3:00 P.M. CST Monday, December 20, 2010. Any proposal received thereafter will be considered unresponsive. The Passenger Waiting Transit Shelter will be partially funded by the Federal Transit Administration. Proposals must follow the Format and Instructions available from the City of Murfreesboro at http://www.murfreesborotn.gov/default.aspx?ekmenu=100&id=7802 . Any correspondence, questions, requests for ITB packets or further information are to be directed in writing only to the Director of Transportation, Mr. Dana L. Richardson, 111 West Vine Street, P.O. Box 1139, Murfreesboro, TN 37133. No oral or telephone responses will be considered by the City of Murfreesboro. The City will not accept bid responses submitted by fax or electronic mail. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with “Transit Shelter Bid” on the outside of the envelope. By Inviting to Bid, The City of Murfreesboro shall not be under any obligation to award any contract or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a proposal. The City of Murfreesboro reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and/or informalities, to reject any or all proposals submitted, to re-advertise, to elect not to contract for the work, and/or to make contract awards in the best interest of the City of Murfreesboro. The proposer selected will be required to comply with all applicable Federal and State laws, regulations and certifications, and equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. The City of Murfreesboro, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended and 49 CFR Part 26, will afford Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE’s) full opportunity to respond and will not discriminate against any interested firm or person on the basis of race, color, sex, age or national origin in the review of qualifications or contract award. LEGAL NOTICE OF A SPECIAL WORK SESSION MEETING A sub-committee of the Murfreesboro Historic Zoning Commission will conduct a work session meeting at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in room 218 at City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The purpose of the special work session is to discuss the visioning needed to continue historic preservation efforts in the City of Murfreesboro.
