LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will meet at 7:00 PM on March 2, 2011, in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider the above illustrated zone change request [2011-402] for property located east of Bradyville Pike south of Carolyn Court (approximately 0.80 acres). The request is to rezone the property from RS-10 (Single-Family Residential District) to RM-12 (Multi Family Residential District). The application is being made by the property owner Greenhouse Ministries, whose agent Mr. Cliff Sharp may be reached at (615) 300-0216. SANITARY SEWER
REHAB/REPLACEMENT PROJECTS
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Manager at the Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department Operations and Maintenance, 1725 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37130, until 2:00 PM, C.D.T., March 15, 2011, for Sanitary Sewer Rehab/Replacement Projects for the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
This work consists of replacement of 1417 linear feet of 21-inch PVC sanitary sewer lines, 300 linear feet of 18-inch ductile iron pipe creek crossing, manholes and all work incidental thereto.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department, Murfreesboro; F.W. Dodge Plan Room, Nashville; or may be obtained from Huddleston Steele Engineering, Inc., 2115 Northwest Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, upon deposit of Five Hundred ($500) Dollars which will be refunded to all except the successful bidder upon return of all documents in good condition within thirty (30) days after date of opening bids.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 8, 2011 at Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department Operations and Maintenance, 1725 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN. Representatives of OWNER and ENGINEER shall be present to discuss the Project.
To demonstrate Bidder’s qualifications to perform the Work, Bidder shall submit written information on present commitments and on experience. Regarding experience, submit listing of at least (3) similar projects constructed by the Bidder in the last five (5) years. The list should include a project name, project owner, and project owner’s contact and shall be submitted with bid package.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than five (5) percent of the contract price to guarantee that the bidder will enter into an acceptable contract under bond.  A contract performance-payment bond of One Hundred (100) Percent of the Contract price will be required.
No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after bids have been opened.
Payment will be made on the 15th day of each month on the basis of ninety (90) percent of the work completed for the preceding month.
The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.
Bidding shall be in accordance with the Tennessee General Contractor’s License Law. Bidders on construction of the amount of Twenty-five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars or more must be licensed contractors as required by T.C.A. 62-6-103. Bidders shall place their bid in an envelope showing the bidder’s name, license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid in accordance with T.C.A. 62-6-119.  Bids not conforming with this provision shall not be opened.
Bidders are required to submit an affidavit at the bid submission that the contractor has a drug-free workplace that complies with T.C.A. Title 50, Chapter 9. Bidders are also requested to submit at the bid a Noncollusion Affidavit of Prime Bidder and Compliance Certificate Illegal Immigrants.

The City of Murfreesboro will receive and publicly open sealed bids for Avid DS NLE Upgrade. Bids will be opened March 4, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in the office of the City Manager, City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, P. O. Box 1139, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37133-1139. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Murfreesboro, Urban Environmental Department, Murfreesboro, Tennessee until 3:00 p.m., February 28, 2011, and at that time opened and publicly read for tree work services at the Cason Trailhead.  Specifications may be obtained at the City Manager's office in City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130, or at the Parks and Recreation office, 697 Barfield Crescent Road, Murfreesboro, TN  37128, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  All bids must be sealed and labeled "Tree Work Services: Cason Trailhead - Bid.”
