MURFREESBORO AIRPORT COMMISSION

 

The Murfreesboro Airport Commission will be meeting on Monday, September 26, 2011, at 4:45 pm at the Murfreesboro Municipal Airport, Terminal/Administration Building, 1930 Memorial Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. 

 

Strategic planning meetings will be held for the Linebaugh Public Library System in the Board Room, 2nd Floor, Linebaugh Public Library on the following dates:  September 21 (10-12 am.), September 22 (4-6 pm.), September 28 (10-12 am.), September 29 (4-6 pm.), October 12 (10-12 am.).

 

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Immediately following their regular meeting on September 26, 2011, the Rutherford County Regional Planning Commission will hold a work session to discuss the draft of the new Rutherford County Zoning Ordinance.  This meeting will begin at 9:30 AM on September 26, 2011 in the Planning Department Mezzanine Meeting Room located at 1 South Public Square, Murfreesboro, TN.

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

Application Z-11-046 by Mr. Steve James of James and Associates Residential Designers, LLC, for Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Elizabeth Bray, is making the following requests for property located at 521 East Main Street in a Residential Single-Family (RS-10) zone:

• A 1-percent variance to the maximum allowed 25-percent lot coverage;

• A 15-percent variance to the requirement that accessory structures or uses in res-     

idential districts shall not occupy more than 25-percent of the required rear yard; and

• A 2-foot variance of the minimum required 5-foot side setback for an existing accessory structure. 

All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Application Z-11-051 by Mr. and Mrs. Kent and Cecil Coleman, are requesting a 13-foot variance of the minimum required 40-foot front setback in a Residential Single-Family (RS-15) zone for property located at 933 East Main Street.  Regarding the same property, the applicant is also requesting a variance to the requirement that detached accessory structures on corner lots in residential zoning districts shall be located no closer to the front lot line than 10-feet behind the front of the principal structure on the same lot.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Application Z-11-052 by Mr. Barry L. Arnett, is making the following requests for property located at 271 Freedom Court in a Residential Single-Family (RS-15) zone:

• A 13.1-foot variance of the minimum required 40-foot front setback in the RS-15 zone;

• A 33.1-foot variance of the minimum required 60-foot front setback for detached accessory structures; and

• A variance to the requirement that detached accessory structures on interior lots in residential zoning districts shall be located no closer to the front lot line than 10-feet behind the front of the principal structure.

All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Application Z-11-053 by Mr. Derek Wheeler, for Integra Hills, LLC, is requesting a 2.5-foot variance of the 35-foot maximum permitted building height in a Residential Multi-Family (RM-16) zone for property located along the south side of Manson Pike west of Fortress Boulevard in order to allow the construction of 37.5-foot-tall structures.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Application Z-11-054 by Mr. Greg Tucker, for The Rutherford County Historical Society, is requesting a special use permit in order to operate an institutional group assembly use (a club) and a philanthropic institution in a Residential Duplex (RD) zone for property located at 717 and 721 North Academy Street.  Regarding the same property, the applicant is also requesting a variance to the requirement that in residential districts an institutional group assembly use shall have a lot size of not less than three (3) times the minimum lot size permitted in the zoning district where the institutional group assembly use is proposed to be located.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Application Z-11-055 by Mr. Kit Ozburn of Design Constructors, Inc., for New Vision Baptist Church, is requesting an amendment to a special use permit originally approved on March 30, 2011 allowing the expansion of an existing institutional group assembly use (a church) located at 1750 North Thompson Lane.  The subject property is located in a Residential Single-Family (RS-15) zone and also in the Battlefield Protection District (BPD).  The applicant wishes to amend the special use permit in order to modify several aspects of the proposed expansion, including, but not limited to, building size, building layout, and parking lot layout.  Regarding the same property, the applicant is also requesting a 7-foot variance of the 35-foot maximum permitted building height in the RS-15 and BPD zones in order to allow a 42-foot-tall structure (a building addition to the existing church).  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

The Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public meeting during which all interested parties will have an opportunity to ask questions, express opposition, or express support regarding any of the listed applications.  For further information, please contact the Planning Department at (615)-893-6441.
