Notice of Public Hearing
The Murfreesboro Cable Television Commission will conduct a Public Hearing at 12:00 noon on April 14, 2014 in room 218 of City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN subject to the Commission’s Order 98-03 and 99-04.
The Commission will conduct a Public Hearing in order to evaluate MTSU’s use of its two educational cable television channels located on Comcast cable channel 9 and 10 within the City of Murfreesboro as it relates to the public good, signal quality, and other relevant factors.
The Commission will also conduct a Public Hearing and will be provided with the same type of information from all other local educational and governmental cable television channels granted by the City of Murfreesboro.
The license of the second MTSU educational cable television channel is subject to termination upon ninety (90) days notice following the public hearing. All interested individuals are invited to attend the Public Hearing.

American Towers LLC is proposing to construct a 149-foot (overall height) monopole telecommunications tower at 1320 Brinkley Road, Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee Tax Parcel ID 078 04701. The new tower structure would not be lighted. The tower facility would include a 100-foot by 100-foot lease area and associated easements, along with a 30-foot buffer surrounding the lease area. American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
Interested persons may review the project application pending with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) at www.fcc.gov/asr/applications by entering Form 854 File No A0895253. Interested persons may comment or raise environmental impact concerns about the proposed action by filing a Request for Environmental Review with the FCC. The FCC strongly encourages all interested parties to make such filings online, following the instructions found at www.fcc.gov/asr/environmentalrequest. Paper filings can be sent to: FCC Requests for Environmental Review, Attn: Ramon Williams, 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554. The Request must also be sent to American Towers LLC, by e-mailing a copy to enviro.services@americantower.com or mailing a copy to: American Tower, 10 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA 01801 ATTN: Environmental Compliance.
Requests or comments may only raise environmental and historic/cultural resource impact concerns and must be received on or before April 23, 2014. Any local planning/zoning process that may apply to this project is separate from this comment process.
